Senior Designer

Please note that the final stage of the hiring process includes a 3–4 month contractor engagement before determining a potential full-time opportunity. We encourage candidates to apply only if they are comfortable with this arrangement.
Job Summary:
Ezily is a ~20-person startup building the commerce operations platform for high-growth brands in Asia-Pacific, shipping two products: Ezily Commerce (multi-channel commerce platform across Shopify, Shopee, Momo, Shopline, PChome, and more) and Touchpoints (a multi-tenant SaaS for LINE Mini App experiences).
You will own every UI, every flow, every icon, every interaction pattern goes through you — and you'll own the full design language of a company and every product it ships.
Hands-on, high-autonomy seat across two technically sophisticated products, two audiences (B2B merchants/operators and LINE end-consumers).
Key Responsibilities:
Own the company-wide design language and design system — typography, color, spacing, motion, iconography, tone — as the single source of truth for Ezily.
Build and maintain a shared component library that serves both codebases, with design tokens, documentation, and governance that engineers actually reference.
Translate genuinely complex workflows — multi-channel sync, bundle inventory logic, drag-and-drop builders, multi-tenant configuration, campaign flows — into interfaces that feel simple to the user.
Partner closely with PMs on both products to shape scope and pressure-test requirements; push back, don't just execute.
Work directly with engineers; review implementations, flag visual regressions, and keep design intent intact through ship.
Run lightweight user research and usability testing with brand customers when decisions are expensive or contested.
Document decisions so the next designer we hire can ramp in a week, not a quarter.
Qualification:
5–8+ years of product design experience, with meaningful time in B2B SaaS or platform products.
Demonstrated ownership of a design system — not just using one, but building, evolving, and governing one.
Strong interaction design skills; you can make multi-step, stateful, data-heavy workflows feel effortless.
Experience designing both admin/operator UIs and consumer-facing experiences.
Expert in Figma — components, variants, auto-layout, variables/tokens, prototyping, dev handoff.
Comfort working directly with code-level concepts: Tailwind utility classes, component composition, design tokens, responsive breakpoints. You don't need to ship code, but you need to speak the language.
A taste threshold that will raise the bar for the whole company — you notice the things others miss.
Strong self-direction. You'll have autonomy most designers dream about; you need to thrive on that rather than stall.
Nice to Have:
Experience designing for APAC markets and Traditional Chinese-speaking users.
Familiarity with the LINE ecosystem or mobile webview constraints.
Experience with drag-and-drop builders, no-code/low-code tooling, or other configurator UX.
Background in e-commerce — catalog, inventory, orders, checkout, coupons, bundles.
Experience designing analytics dashboards and data visualization.
Prior experience as the first or only designer at a startup, or experience growing a design team from one to several.
